How It Works

Bias tape is cut at a 45-degree angle to the fabric grain, giving it stretch for curving around edges. The continuous bias tape method lets you cut one long strip from a square of fabric by joining edges and cutting in a spiral. A 2-inch wide strip from an 18-inch square yields about 3.2 yards of tape.
